MEET OUR Actors

Erica Wilkinson 

Following her acclaimed performance as The Baker’s Wife in Into The Woods, Erica is delighted to be back with her second production with Ovation Theatre.

Recent theatre credits include Marta in Company and Narrator understudy in Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat (NCMS).

Outside of theatre, Erica works in wildlife film production for the Department of Conservation, hosts the DOC Sounds of Science podcast, and is a freelance script writer.

Erica is a new admirer of playwright V (formerly Eve Ensler), and is thrilled to be part of a show she believes is such essential, important viewing that continues to resonate worldwide.

Jane Keller

A native of Colombus, Ohio, Jane now resides in Wellington where she runs a large private voice studio and specializes in teaching musical theatre singing styles and repertoire.

Jane has recently completed her sixth sell out one-woman show at Circa Theatre, ‘Leave ’em Laughing’ and was most recently seen on stage in Christchurch as Madame Armfeldt in Enchanting Production’s season of ‘A Little Night Music’ by Stephen Sondheim at The Great Hall.

Other roles have included Miss Jacobs (Ladies In Black), Jeanette (The Full Monty), Mother Superior (Nunsense), Pennywise (Urinetown), Sarah (Company), Carlotta (Follies), Domina (A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum), Ruth (Pirates of Penzance), Little Buttercup (HMS Pinafore), Katisha (The Mikado) Lady Jane (Patience).

Petrina Chisholm

Petrina Chisholm is a singer, actor, director and educator who has worked nationally in Aotearoa for over 20 years.

In the early 2000’s she was a regular on-stage at both The Court Theatre and Dunedin’s Fortune Theatre. From 2009 – 2021 she worked in Tauranga as a drama teacher, a director of shows, bands, and choirs, as well as maintaining an active performance career.

This year she has directed the highly successful NCMS production of 42nd St, as well as Fiddler on the Roof Broadway Senior for Showbiz Christchurch, adding them to her list of directorial highlights such as Annie, Miss Saigon, High School Musical and School of Rock.

Petrina has a number of impressive roles to her credit including Sandy in Grease, Donna in Mamma Mia, Mrs Johnstone in Blood Brothers and Desdemona in Othello. Recently for Showbiz she performed in Matilda and That Bloody Woman. She is also a founding member of the epic 90s tribute show Girl Power Show NZ.

Petrina made her debut with Ovation Theatre last year in their production of Spring Awakening, and is delighted to be back on stage in Ōtautahi Christchurch for this season of Vagina Monologues.

Shannon Hurley  – Creative Director

Shannon holds a Bachelor of Performing Arts from the National Academy of Singing and Dramatic Art (NASDA), a Graduate Diploma in Secondary Teaching and a Teachers of Singing Certification Award (TOSCA).

Shannon has been involved in numerous productions for the Taieri Musical Society, (Dunedin) The Court Theatre, Enchanting Productions, Ovation Theatre, North Canterbury Musical Society, Centrestage Rolleston, and Showbiz Christchurch.

Favourite roles include: Maria in NCMS’s production of The Sound of Music, the Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat and Jack’s Mother in Ovation Theatre’s Into the Woods.

Locally, Shannon runs her own vocal studio, Yellowstone Vocal Studio and co-directs Girls’ Choir Ōtautahi

She is delighted to bring this production of The Vagina Monologues to the stage.

Situated on the first floor of the Isaac Theatre Royal, the Gloucester Room is accessed either via the lift or the 1928 marble staircase and the beautiful Ravenscar Lounge.

The beautiful arched windows provide the perfect backdrop for our Divas.
