Join us for One Night Only – The Songs of Jason Robert Brown, a concert event that brings his extraordinary songbook to life. You’ll hear unforgettable music from The Last Five Years, Songs for a New World, Parade, and The Bridges of Madison County — performed live by Sarah Clare Judd and Will Lynch.

From heartfelt ballads to explosive ensemble numbers, Brown’s songs explore love, ambition, loss, and hope with unmatched honesty and intensity. Whether you’re a lifelong fan or discovering his work for the first time, this is your chance to experience the brilliance of his writing in an intimate, one-night-only celebration of musical storytelling.

Introducing the performers

Sarah Clare Judd (Ngāti Kahungunu)

Sarah Clare Judd (Ngāti Kahungunu) is a 2023 graduate of the National Academy of Singing and Dramatic Arts (Bachelor of Music Theatre).

Since graduating from NASDA, Sarah has performed across the country with credits including “Something Rotten!” (The Court Theatre), national tours with The Ugly Shakespeare Company and Sexwise, and “The Deadbeat Opera (Free Theatre Christchurch).

She has also recently joined the Court Jesters as a musician. Other credits include Ovation Musical Theatre, Cubbin Theatre, What Now! Centrepoint Theatre, and Indelability Arts in Australia. Behind the scenes, Sarah has experience Stage Managing, Music Directing, and assisting with crew.

Outside of theatre Sarah teaches pole dancing, aerials and reformer pilates, and was runner up in the New Zealand Amateur Pole Performers Expert category in 2022.

Sarah is proud to be a member of Equity New Zealand.

Will Lynch

Will is a Christchurch-based performer who’s been performing and singing since 2015, and is currently studying towards a music degree at the University of Canterbury. Previously, Will has performed in Ovation Theatre’s 2023 production of Spring Awakening, and was a featured performer in ‘Montrer’, a new cabaret presented by The Entertainment Company.

In March he performed the role of ‘Achilles’ in Breaking Plates at the Isaac Theatre Royal.

He was also a part of the World Buskers Festival in 2025 with Cirko Kali, performing in SMASH! Boylesque.
